Update - I’m Getting Married

Update: I’m getting married and going on vacation. Today marks the last day of prep before a 12-day vacation. My email auto-responders are set. My blogs are pre-written and scheduled. And my friends are coming into town. 

I knew months ago that I was  going to get married and go on a honeymoon. This inspired me to pre-write blogs on days when I still had ideas and quick fingers. 

I used to be afraid of marriage and commitment, because I thought it would tie me down and hold me back from my goals. I’m not even married yet, but in the past few months, I’ve been more productive and proactive with this blog than I ever before because I’ve been inspired by this event.

I’m learning that constraints and sacrifice draw out an even greater level of productivity focus from us. I’ve seen friends with children run top-tier companies, and they have less time than me. I hope this will be the case with me as I commit to a lifetime of loving and serving someone else. But even if it isn’t, I think I’m coming out on the right side of this coin.
