Waking Up Early

I just woke up to a 5:30 a.m. alarm. Usually, that’s about an hour or two before my ideal wake up, but with a 7:00 a.m. call time, what am I to do? 

One thing that has always made waking up easier for me is drinking a glass of water immediately after my alarm goes off. I’m sure I could dig around for some research on how this helps kickstart the digestive system, and replenishes a dehydrated body, but it’s pretty obvious once you try it. 

After drinking a glass of water, I feel about five times more alert and ready to carry on with my day. When I don’t drink water first thing, I feel dehydrated, and remain groggy for much longer. 

Finishing a glass of water also gives me a sense of accomplishment in the morning, especially if I put it on my to do list the night before. It’s only 5:33 and I’m already knocking out my list! 

Alright, I’m off to my production. Go drink a glass of water!
